Aisha Stambouli
Clinical Coordinator
Phone: (613) 249-8593, ext. 4226
Hi! I’m Aisha Stambouli, Clinical Coordinator at Valor & Solutions. I’ve been working at V & S for 11 years where I’ve had the privilege of using my knowledge and skills to support individuals in developing a better quality of life and improved mental health. I am passionate about coaching individuals on how to self-regulate their nervous system though body-based approaches and DBT informed emotional regulation techniques with the goal of easing their anxiety, frustration, overwhelm and impulses. I have a master’s degree in conflict studies and much of my research was focused on trauma/post-traumatic stress disorder; this has informed my intervention plans and approaches at V&S. Prior to this, I supported individuals living with an intellectual disability through residential services and I mentored refugees and asylees transitioning from war-torn countries. I spent many years interning/volunteering at various nonprofits around the world which ignited my drive for supporting vulnerable populations. My greatest strength lies in building trusting and nurturing relationships with people! I believe in holding a safe space for individuals and that it is essential to be an ally to the people we support, enabling them to grow and flourish.

I have been working in the human services sector since 2009 and have been part of Valor & Solutions since 2016. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of holding various positions within the organization, allowing me to apply different skills all while developing new ones. This journey has equipped me to offer support in a way that minimizes barriers for the individual and their supports in the most effective way possible—whether through direct clinical work, system navigation, or empowering my team to achieve their goals in better serving the community.
My educational background has played a significant role in shaping my approach. I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling and Spirituality from Saint Paul University, which has helped me refine my skills and develop a deeper understanding of human beings. Through my studies, I gained insight into how different experiences shape individuals, the importance of seeing situations holistically, and the awareness of my own biases and judgments all while grounding myself in my approach in supporting people.
My strength is building genuine and meaningful relationships. I place a strong emphasis on intentionality in my work, ensuring that every action has a reason and that has an impact. Creativity and collaboration is a core value where I firmly believe that together, we multiply opportunities and build a community where everyone can thrive.
